Christos Giannoulis was born in Thessaloniki were he took his first lessons in music (piano, theoretical studies and lyrical song). He has a diploma in solo singing (New Conservatory of Thessaloniki- B. Tsambali’s class) and composition (National Conservatory - P. Koukos’ class).
Since 1998 he lives in Athens, developing various activities in music. He composed music for children theatrical plays and sketches and in 1997 he successfully played for "Thessaloniki, cultural capital of Europe 1997" his first opera for children "The little Peter in the forest" (5-15 years old) in his composition and dramatization.
He has collaborated with Timelapse pictures (www.timelapsepictures.com) for the production of the soundtrack of the animation film "The boy and the tree" as an assistant composer, music and sound producer (composer: Dimitris Papadimitriou) under the direction of Panayotis Rappas and Nassos Vakalis.
GREEK NATIONAL OPERA - 2012. In the context of the concerts held in the foyer of the Greek National Opera, he presented his composition "The cistern" on George Seferis' poetry (4/4/2012). It is a composition for two pianos, solo tenor, women's soloists ensemble and live electronics. The electronics production was made by "ORPHEUS" center.
He has also collaborated with Dimitris Papadimitriou in filmworks and CD productions as assist. composer-mixing engineer.
In 2014, he presented his opera “The Scarecrow” in several towns in Greece with their local orchestras.
He has collaborated with Mikis Theodorakis, orchestrating his musical for children “The Dream and the Miracle” which was performed in theater with big success.
He has worked for two years as the main producer and composer in Orion editions’ magazine
“Window To Education” delivering 6 completed CDs. Greece’s educational community has approved them with jubilation.
He has composed and produced music for Kostas Gur's last work "I Live in Greece" and it was awarded for its cinematiography, sound design and composition. Kostas Gur is a well known and awarded director and drone operator.
In the early 2019, he started collaborating with “Cultural Infusion” and the CEO Peter Mousaferiadis in several tasks about their online platform and applications for students. The main purpose of this is to give students the chance to meet rare instruments and local cultures from all over the world.
He often collaborates with acknowledged composers in Greece as an orchestrator and sound designer.
The tenor Christos Giannoulis has attended seminars and workshops about technical perfection and musical style with famous artists as Dan Iordacescu, Frangiskos Voutsinos, Gabriella Ravazzi, William Mateuzzi, Hermann Prey.
He has often participated in opera productions in Greece and abroad, singing leading roles such as Tamino (Die Zauberflote), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Turridu (Cavalleria Rusticana), Flavio (Norma), Malcolm (Macbeth) etc. He has also interpreted the demanding role of Sam in Sir Peter Maxwell Davis' contemporary opera "The lighthouse" as well as music of contemporary Greek and foreign composers (Gavin Bryers, Alkis Baltas, Thodoros Ambatzis etc.)
He has worked with well known conductors as B. Rigacci, Armando Gatto, Angelo Cavallaro, Loukas Karytinos, Theodore Antoniou, Ilias Voudouris, Alkis Baltas etc.
